Group Therapy and One-On-One Counselling | The Pelican Practice

We offer group and individual therapy sessions online and face to face, plus addiction recovery support workshops for clients and support people.

One-To-One Sessions

One-to-one therapy and counselling sessions are available via Zoom (online) or face to face in our consulting rooms in Hertfordshire and London. You’ll be given the option to choose when you book.

Initial assessment
£95.00

Subsequent sessions
£75.00

Support for supporters
£75.00

If cost is a barrier for you, please get in touch. I see a small number of low-income clients at reduced fees.

Group Therapy

Group sessions are held weekly via Zoom (online) or in person, with a maximum of eight people per group. In group therapy, members take turns to share their experiences and listen to each other. The therapist will host the session, but not offer therapy to individual members. The idea is that you all work together, taking turns to be each other’s client, therapist and supporter.

Before joining a group, everyone is asked to attend a one-to-one session to make sure the group is right for you.

Initial assessment (one to one)
£95.00

First step before joining a group. 50 minute session.

Course of six sessions
£240.00

Held weekly for six weeks each session is 1 hour 15 mins.

One-off group session

Subject to group size. Session is 1 hour and 15 minutes.

IMPORTANT: Cancellations

Please note we require 48 hours’ notice for cancellation of any one-to-one or group session or workshop. If you cancel within this period, or don’t show up as booked, you will forfeit your full pre-paid fee.

This is to protect the interests of other clients who might be on a waiting list for your session.

How many sessions will I need?

How many sessions you’ll need depends on your individual needs and progress. We suggest that after six sessions we check in with each other to see how we’re going, what’s helpful and what we might do differently. Our best advice is that, just like the 12 steps, we take it one day – one session – at a time.
